Weminuche Rainbows
Sunset and rainbows over the Needle Peaks buried deep in the Weminuche Wilderness - San Juan Mountains - Colorado. This image was taken en route to an attempted sunset summit of Turret Peak to photograph Pigeon Peak and Jagged Mountain - yet we did not have time to execute both - so we opted to remain at our high camp and photograph the splendid light and rainbows over the jagged Needle Mountains. A spectacular scene! The next morning we successfully made a sunrise summit of Turret Peak - two images in the bag early in the trip (day 1 of 4) - a great feeling.

Metal prints via the dye sublimation process result in a glossy, saturated, "pop" presentation. This presentation is light weight, and produces a stunning, eye catching piece. There is a slight glare, so take that into consideration for print placement under significant sunlight. The construction consists of a 1/16” thick aluminum on the face and 3/4” aluminum float backing with aluminum French cleat hanger to create a floating effect. This piece is fully ready to hang without any further requirements.

The fine art wood print process begins with printing on a vibrant metallic paper. This paper is then mounted on a 3/8" thick eco-friendly, acid-free, black wood surface finished with a beveled edge. A satin laminate is applied to reduce reflections, preserve appearance and longevity. The entire piece is then given a ¾” deep backing to create a floating effect. This piece is fully ready to hang without any further requirements.

Acrylic is the gold standard for a fine art print. These pieces are museum quality, will not suffer from aging in any environment, and preserve your piece as it should be.
