Dawn over Capitol Peak as seen from the summit of K2. This image perhaps holds the most meaning to me of all. Capturing Capitol Peak draped in white from the summit of K2 has been on my mind for quite some time, and it is no easy feat to achieve. This was my third attempt, and my second time standing on the summit at sunrise. The first lacked snow, the second we opted out due to conditions and went for a sunset summit and ski of Mount Daly instead, and the third everything lined up perfectly. Although tecnical in the snow and at night, it was just spicy enough to make it even more memorable. Arriving early, the dawn blue hour was beautiful and a sight I will never forget.
